Commissions
1. Inquiry
Reach out by email with as much information as you have about your project, including the space, desired size, colors or tones you’re drawn to, and a description of what you’re looking for. If there are 2–3 of my past works that resonate with you, please include those as well. Reference images of the space are always welcome.
We’ll arrange a conversation to discuss your ideas, the space, and how we might approach the commission together. Examples of past commissions can be viewed on my Public Projects page.
For designers:
Please include as much information about the project as possible, along with photographs of the site, room, or any available renders.
2. Brief & Proposal
Following our conversation, I’ll prepare a brief outlining the proposed size, medium, price, and estimated timeline. Once these details are confirmed, a 50% deposit secures the commission and I begin the work.
3. Creation
Each commission begins with a combination of sketches, observation, process, and intuition. While a painting may begin with a sketch or a shared direction, it will naturally evolve as I work.
The piece may look very different at different stages of the process. This is an important part of how I work, and I ask that you trust the process and allow the painting room to develop. My goal is to create something that feels considered and connected to your vision, while remaining a truly unique original work of art.
4. Completion & Delivery
Once the painting is complete, I’ll share final images with you for review. One round of feedback is welcomed at this stage to make sure the finished work feels right within the agreed brief.
The final painting reflects my artistic judgment, experience, and the direction we established together at the beginning of the commission. The remaining 50% balance is due upon completion. Once payment is received, the painting will be carefully prepared, packed, and shipped to you.
Shipping is quoted individually based on size and destination.
Payment terms: Non-refundable 50% deposit, remaining 50% upon approved completion.
Lead time is typically 8-10 weeks.
